Leather inline skates are a good choice.
Inline skating (QUADRoller Skating) has 18 million skating enthusiasts worldwide. Inline skate wheels are generally harder than inline skate wheels. Types include recreational figure skating, jam skating, inline hockey, obstacle courses, and speed skating. Because the inline skating industry developed relatively late in China and the discipline is not yet fully developed, many Chinese skaters tend to favor inline skating, leading to a lack of understanding and the perception that inline skating is outdated. However, it is believed that one day the inline skating industry in China will develop and mature, showcasing the complete field and the charm of inline skating to everyone.
In 1863, American James invented the first inline skate, with four wheels arranged in two groups, front and back, connected by two axles. The bearings on the four wheels allow for stable rotation, enabling various movements such as turning, forward motion, and backward motion. These are the equipment used in various competitions including obstacle courses, roller hockey, jamskating, figure skating, extreme roller skating, and speed skating. Figure skating, particularly obstacle courses, uses inline skates, which are currently the most common type internationally. Although inline skates were developed earlier in China, their production is more mature domestically due to the more complex structure of inline skates compared to the lower cost of inline skates. However, it is believed that increasingly internationalized China will soon develop these roller skating sports as well.
Inline skates mainly consist of four parts: the upper, the frame, the bearings, and the wheels. Figure 1 is an exploded view of this type of skate. The frame is the core component, connecting all other parts. The main sports in inline skating are figure skating, speed skating, roller hockey, and freestyle skating. Some people also use inline skates outdoors for parades or team obstacle courses. The following discussion focuses on speed skating equipment and its application in speed skating.
